Using this postcard from the Sheffield Hallam Art School Archive to create drawings
From this I have traced the shapes in the photograph which remain blank, white, that contain no information. The aspect already lost within the archive.
This image was then reversed to represent the negative from which the photograph was made; the part of the process at which the information is potentially lost.
Then to begin to reintroduce information back within the new image, I have drawn the image back into the new shapes created, so that the positive image is partially returned, though much less readable as a result.
